Step 1: Open the Facebook app in your smartphone and hit the menu button on the top right corner on Android and on the bottom right corner on iOS.

Step 2: Click on See More and select Avatars.

Step 3: Tap Next and select Get Started.

Step 4: Choose your preferred skin tone from the 27 choices which are available and hit Next.

Step 5: Now, you'll be requested to select a hairstyle for the avatar from options such as short, medium or long and a Color.

Step 6: The customization is the Face, whereby you'll be asked to choose a face form, face lines, and complexion. Then, customize your eye form, color, and eyelash size. Later, move on to the Eyebrows form and color. It can also be possible so as to add glasses. After the Eye icon, head on to customize the nose and mouth by selecting the specified form, lip color, and facial hair.

Step 7: After the face, select a body shape, an outfit that fits you the best, and additional equipment such as hat, car ears, or scarf.

Step 8: Once you're done with the customization, you may tap on Next and Done.
