recently Amazon launched the 2020 lineup of its Echo speakers at its annual Alexa event. The new Echo audio system and smart displays are available a wholly new design with a front-firing audio system and round design. However, if you're new to the smart speaker world and wondering how to get began with all of the advertised home automation features, music streaming, calling, setup routine, test daily updates, listen to the news, and more then the first thing you must do is set up the Amazon Echo Devices along with your smartphone’s Alexa app and right here’s how to do it.
Get the Alexa app (Set Up Amazon Echo Devices)
The Amazon Alexa app is out there on Android, iOS, and Windows 10 by way of respective app shops. The app is appropriate with iOS 11 or above and Android 6 or above. Also, guarantee that you've got an Amazon account and the smartphone has working internet connectivity.
Power up the Echo device (Set Up Amazon Echo Devices)
Just take the power cord and plug it into the power supply. The Echo device will show a Blue ring. Now, wait until you see an Orange light ring on the devices which means that the device is now ready for setup. Alexa will even prompt the same.
Connect the Echo with Wi-Fi using the Alexa application
Open the Alexa app and log in using the right credentials. Now, tap on Devices choice from the bottom of the Alexa app and tap on the ‘+’ icon from the top right corner, and select Add Device choice from the popup menu.
After this, tap on the Amazon Echo option and choose the device you own from the listing. Now, follow the on-screen prompts to connect the Echo together with your present Wi-Fi connection.
It’s completed, start talking to Alexa
Once the device is linked to Wi-Fi, now you can start asking Alexa questions and queries of your selection. All you have to do is say the wake-up word which by the way is ‘Alexa’ and ask climate details, upcoming Amazon parcel, and more.
To use other functionalities, you’ll allow Alexa Skills.
